We confronted people with the effects of climate change in an unusual way with a topic that always interests them – Money.
The disaster became a business model: THE RISE is the first real estate company that allows people to profit from rising sea levels. Based on scientific data, we placed billboards for the start-up in affected areas and triggered the expected outcry with ads on YouTube, Twitter and Co.
For six weeks, Germany discussed the business idea. At the height of the outrage – the scheduled sales launch of the first plots – the surprise dropped: The action was fake, but climate change is not. Growney turns THE RISE into STOP THE RISE and proposes: Our savings must counteract the catastrophe. And with success! The demand for their sustainable funds increased by 700%, proving investments are great – if they promote climate action.
